4.
What are some of the more common citations in Southern Nevada?
Speeding, Running a Red Light or Stop Sign, Unsafe Lane
Change, and all of the Accident violations. Many stops do
not involve a moving violation at all. For example, you
can be pulled over for expired plates, a broken tail light,
or no front plate. Keep your car in good working order and
your license plates current; do not give the police an excuse
to pull you over.
5.
What are some ways to avoid getting stopped for a traffic
violation?
Always pay attention to your surroundings. Know the speed
limit, watch road signs, and look for police officers.
Do not modify your car to attract attention. If you do
add neon lights, you will attract the attention of the
police as well. Pick a neutral color for your car. Flashy
colors will attract attention, especially the police.
A person driving a bright red Mustang will get pulled
over more often than a person driving a white Camry. Keep
your car clean, and do not post any obscene stickers.

Can Cisneros and Thompson
help someone from out of state who got a ticket during
a visit to Southern Nevada?
Yes. Most of the time we can appear for the individual,
pay their fines, and avoid traffic school so they will not
have to make any trips to handle their citation.
7.
What are my guarantees that your office will help me reduce
my points, traffic school, and fines?
There are no guarantees. If there is the possibility that
your violation cannot be amended or reduced, this office
will discuss that possibility with you before we go to court.
With the experience of resolving more than 10,000 citations,
we know the outcome of most citations before we go to court.
8.
Does your office help with DUI's?
Yes and No. This office will not represent you for a DUI
charge. We can help you find an attorney that specializes
in that area of the law.
